One Little Dreamer OKTOBER Fest Challenge Entry #3

Wow! Two post from me in 1 day now that is a record! For this challenge to get 2 entries into the grand prize (which is 165.00 worth of stuff!!) you have to do a you tube video and post your project to your blog. This challenge had definitely got me to blogging again for sure!

I picked up this adorable little bottle at my thrift store. I love to go thrifting! It was begging to be altered! I was so inspired by MsGardengrove1 ! She made some gorgeous bottles! So be sure to check her out! Thank you Annie for always inspiring me!  Her channel is MsGardenGrove1 on You Tube. You will be amazed! I alternated each of the lovely trims from Aarti's shop.  I hot glued some of the gorgeous pearl and rhinestone trim from all the sides of the bottle. Then I adhered the pretty ivory ruffled chiffon and pearl trim around the bottle. You can find them all here! The pretty satin rose on top of the bottle is from Hobby Lobby. I found it in the wedding section. Another pretty bottle to put on my shelf ! I think I will put my special flower centers in it!

I appreciate you stopping by! have a blessed day :) Tina

One Little Dreamer OKTOBER FEST Challenge Entry # 2

I found these adorable frames at my local thrift shop. They were black, so I painted them with Folk art paint in pearl pink, vintage white, and cotton candy pink. I just mixed those colors together. I like doing that to see what colors I can come up with, I really like the result :) I used some  med weight chipboard for the backing, and some London market pretty paper. The butterfly die is from mini album scraps. I used some beautiful trim from Aarti's shop. The flowers are from my stash, as well as the beautiful pink leaves. I also added a white paper doily for an added touch.

The frame on your right, the dress form is also from mini album scraps, when they were selling laser die cuts. Unfortunately, the lady that provided these doesn't belong to the group anymore ;(  the bling is from Hobby Lobby.  And more of the beautiful trim from Aarti's shop.

I really liked how these turned out! I have just the perfect place for them in my craft space!
                              Thanks for stopping by!

"One Little Dreamer OKTOBER FEST Challenge"

I created this Fabric Wall hanging for my Mother for her Birthday! I found a muslin hanger
at my  Michael's dollar spot that was just begging to be altered! I took some ivory lace and adhered it to the muslin with some hot glue. Then I adhered a pretty chiffon ivory trim from hobby lobby around the edge, on top of that I layered the gorgeous trim from Aarti's shop.

I framed my parents wedding picture with some lace from Lavish Laces on Etsy.  I adhered some ivory flat back pearls from Hobby Lobby on top of the roses for an added touch. The lace at the top of the hanger is from Shabbylicious. l layered ivory trim from Hobby Lobby on top of each other for a romantic look. I love how this turned out! It was so easy too!

The beautiful heart on the lower right hand corner is also from Aarti's shop. I adhered some more of the ivory bead trim. The handmade flower on the left is made from a tutorial by afallas72 on you tube. Its called the Gaspy flower tutorial. Its fun to make and so easy and no
sewing involved a plus for me lol! I hate to sew!  I just covered the back of the hanger with some ivory felt.
I know this is a long post but it has been over a year since I have blogged! I am going to try to
get back in the habit again bloggers!

Thanks so much for stopping by until next time!

In Memory....

Hi Blogging Friends!
I have once again neglected my blog.. life has indeed been very hectic lately! I have a very special project to share with you today...
I altered this wooden box in memory of my father who passed away Sept 12, 2007.
It has taken me 5 yrs to be able to do this.... My daddy was a very wonderful man who loved God, his wife and two children very much! He is dearly missed! This box will be passed down to my children and grandchildren some day! I know they will cherish it as much as I have!
I purchased this box from my local thrift store for 99 cents!
I painted it with white gesso and then with Folkart champagne gold( my fav), painted on
crackle medium , let dry over night and then went over it with vintage photo crackle paint. Distressed
with black soot and vintage photo distress inks, then stamped a script stamp on top of all that!

You can see the crackle better in this picture!
I loved how it turned out.
The flowers are from I am Roses and they are sprayed with Lindy's stamp gang, chocolate
truffle and cocoa bean copper... The little wooden piece is from a necklace my Mom gave My Dad.

My Dad was in the US Air Force. This is his dog tag. I draped the chain over the I am Roses.
I loved this effect.

Here is a pic of yours truly and my daddy. This is the last
pic taken before he passed...

A pic of him when he was alot younger.

I made this little booklet inspired by Leanne with LuvLee Scrappin.
Next to the booklet is a grease fitting, another rose and some burlap. I crackled the heck out of this box ! lol
Bottom Compartment is a pic of my dad when he was about 2 yrs old. I fussy cut
a butterfly and added anothe copper plumbing part.

Top compartment is a pin nib wrapped in
copper wire and a copper plumbing piece. The whole box is lined with
DCWV Tattered Times paper.
Bottom Compartment has a Prima Tea Thyme wooden ticket held
on with a clip from Tim Holtz.
On the left side is a copper strap and a tiny light bulb also some gears.
Some screws and a spring.

I bought this tiny tool box from Etsy. I loved it so much because it reminds me
of the many days I spent organizing my daddys tools in his garage. We spent alot of time
out there just talking and laughing... the blade is for a drimmel tool.
The bottom compartment features a Prima wooden clock and a memo pin.
More I am Roses, ( I love those!) the one in the back is stamped with
my script stamp.

This is a pic of me and my Dad. I was 8 yrs old in this pic!
I mounted the pic on a Tim Holtz fragment.
The bottom compartment features a pic of my Daddy in his uniform and a
glass vial, some bead chain and some light fixture parts. I also adhered some Tim Holtz
ornate feet on the bottom of the box.

Whew! That was a long post! I hope you have enjoyed it!
Take care my friends! Until next time....
